Our Cardiologist
As responsible breeders, Buy Bengal Cats ensures that all of our kittens receive comprehensive heart screenings every year. These screenings are carried out in two scheduled visits by Vet Rachel James, helping us maintain the highest standards of feline health and wellbeing.
If you would like to participate or observe one of our scheduled cardiac screening sessions, you are welcome to message us. Our screenings are held at the Buy Bengal Cats premises and conducted by our official cardiologist, Rachel James, MA Vet MB Cert SAM Cert VC DVC MRCVS — an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology.
Rachel lectures both nationally and internationally and has published extensively within her specialty. Her research interests focus on syncope in dogs and feline cardiomyopathies. With a deep passion for cardiology and respiratory medicine, Rachel has been performing cardiac scans since 1999 and presented her first abstract at BSAVA in 2000 while working in general practice.

Pet Export – Safe & Professional Transport with Buy Bengal Cats
At Buy Bengal Cats, we provide a dedicated, door-to-door pet transport service designed to ensure your kitten or cat travels safely, comfortably, and stress-free. Our experienced pet transport couriers offer reliable services throughout the UK and Europe, handling every journey with care and professionalism.
Whether your pet requires airport collection or delivery, relocation to Europe, transport for a house move, or trips to the vet or cattery, our team removes the worry from the process. We manage every detail so you can focus on welcoming your Bengal into their new home.
All of our vehicles are fully approved for pet transport by DEFRA and are specially equipped with purpose-built cages. Each enclosure is fiberglass-lined to maintain optimal temperature control—helping keep your pet up to 20°C cooler in summer and 20°C warmer in winter. For added safety, every cage includes a secure escape hatch, allowing handlers to unload pets safely without any risk of escape—especially important for cats.
Our transport vehicles are fitted with air-conditioning, a rotary roof vent, and a powered ventilation system to ensure a constant flow of fresh air throughout the journey. We also carry a small refrigerator for storing any necessary medications and maintain a comprehensive database of veterinary clinics along our routes in case medical attention is ever required.
At Buy Bengal Cats, care and quality are at the heart of everything we do. We treat every pet as if they were our own. During transport, we make regular stops every 2–3 hours to check on your pet, refresh water supplies, and ensure overall comfort. If transporting a dog, we provide supervised walks; for cats, we prioritize a calm, secure, and comfortable environment.
For longer journeys requiring overnight stops, we stay exclusively at pet-friendly hotels. This allows us to bring your pet into the room with us rather than leaving them unattended in the vehicle overnight.

For long international journeys, we recommend that kittens stay overnight at Paws Cattery, conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from Heathrow Airport. This allows them to rest comfortably before their flight. Our export team collects the kittens from the cattery and ensures they travel safely to their destinations.
